I had been waiting to get to this restaurant for a very long time, and had the opportunity recently when my family made a trip to Vancouver, British Columbia. It’s a very quaint restaurant that serves Indigenous foods in a very modern way. The owner is on site and greeted us instantly. We were seated and the server was upon us promptly. He never rushed us, nor did he push us to order something we didn’t want. He was very knowledgeable about the specials and the regular menu.
I ordered the daily special; appetizer was Salmon 3 ways…smoked salmon mousse, salmon gravlax and a candied salmon with bannock chips and sweet grass infused cherry. The main course was Boar bacon wrapped Elk Rib Eye with seasonal vegetables and roasted baby potatoes. The food was delicious and presented very well. The Chef seasoned the food perfectly so there was never any need for additional seasonings to be added. That’s a sign of a great chef.
