Also, on this day in 1899 A.T. Marshall of Brockton, Massachusetts patented a refrigerator.

In 1905 Pillsbury-Washburn Flour Mills Company registered “Pillsbury’s Best” trademark (first used in 1873).

In 1973 Archibald Gowanlock Huntsman died (born Nov 23, 1883).  Canadian oceanographer and fisheries biologist. Best known for research on Atlantic salmon. He also invented methods for quick freezing fish fillets.
