Something’s “fishy” about this one…
The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least twice a week, especially those higher in Omgea-3 fatty acids. I agree, but then again, I do love my fish!
In a 3 oz. portion of Pacific Cod compared to 3 oz. of lean (85%) ground beef, Cod offers 1,100 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids compared to 425 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids for the beef.
The total fat content of 3 oz. Pacific Cod is only 1% compared to 3 oz. portion of lean ground beef, which has 20% total fat. The saturated fat content…well, Cod is 0% compared to 25% for the lean ground beef.
