In 1899 August A. Busch Jr. (‘Gussie’) was born (died Sept 29, 1989). Grandson of Anheuser-Busch brewery founder Adolphus Busch. ‘Gussie’ was company chairman from 1946-1975, and he built the company into the largest brewery in world.
