Coquito’s-Oahu

Puerto Rican food in Hawaii?  Heck Yes!  A quaint little diner that has charm, authenticity, goof food and great service.  The Tostones are salted and loaded with flavour.  The Scallops are cooked just right and presented nicely.  My Argentinian Flank Steak was tender and the Chimichuri was amazing, especially since I love garlic!  The babies devoured the Shrimp on their plates and my wife couldn’t stop talking about the Pernil (slow roasted pork shoulder) Mofongo.

Yes, a bit pricey but well worth it. I can’t say enough about the service.  Always smiling and checking to see if our drinks were in need of refills, if the food was to our expectations.  We never felt like we were being rushed out the door during our meal, in fact, it seemed like it wasn’t a problem taking our time eating.

You will be very pleased if you chose to eat here. I definitely recommend this place to others.
